St Albans, who beat Chesham 3-1.

Also well done to Paulton Rovers who got promoted to the Southern Premier at Merthyr today.

Gd news on St Albans, off to the Mermaid we go.

Shame we are still not in conference, nice local games with rovers and torquay  

3-1 to Saints in the end, almost 3000 there. All 3 SL play offs won by away team inc Slough coming from 2 down at ht to beat Kettering.

And all with crowds over 2000.

I went to the Merthyr game on Tuesday against Swindon Supermarine. Was a cracker, Paulton must have played really well to win today, thought Merthyr looked decent.

Agreed! Probably my favourite away trip. St. Albans is a great town with some excellent pubs and a proper non league ground. Hopefully the Mermaid landlord won't oversleep again when we visit next year!

Hopefully Oxford will be moved south and Lowestoft into the North!

For purely selfish reasons I hope Lowestoft come south...

Lowestoft better be in the south. Bloody cockney league, it's bad enough having to go cross country to get to Boston let alone do Lowestoft too.

I would't cross the road to get to Boston! Are the club and its supporters the most obnoxious in Conf North, as was the case when they infested the southern?

Erm, they don't seem so bad although first time I went I was stood on the touchline under the main stand and one older home fan was shouting "foul", "free kick" every time one of our players looked at one of theirs yet when it was the other way round he barracked the ref for stopping play and shouted "play on, play on". I looked up to see where it was coming from and the fella sat in the front row said to me that I was lucky that I only got it today cos they had to put up with him every other week

That said they have too many stewards and they only let photographers down one side of the pitch and woe betide setting a foot anywhere else.

At Whaddon someone sang a nasty song in my direction and I invited him to discuss it after the final whistle. The knuckle dragging inbred ****. Other than that they're fine. First season they brought over 100 fans, can't knock that.

As for Lowestoft, thats the only place I've ever laid hands on a "supporter" of another team. And I've had Lord Bellend creep up behind me too.

I think that will depend on whether Oxford will be at this level next season. Hayes and Yeading are appealing the decision as they had a better record than Oxford over the season, and they believe that it should be them reprieved as a result of Vauxhall Motors resignation from the league.
