Well. Who would have thought it. Lucas scores on Tuesday, then Jarvis today. Good luck to them, hope this boosts their confidence.

Well despite the underwhelming performances we keep winning again without conceding. Good player that Darren Jones.
Can't complain if Lucas and Jarvis keep chipping in with goals either.

Sounds like we won 'ugly' - agree with Bob Chester that this is the sort of game we would have lost 1-0 not so long ago.
After the start we had I don't think 10th with 16 points after 10 games is too bad - just need to try and improve the goal difference.

I was amazed by the stat that we haven't had a 0-0 for 90 games in the league. I had a feeling that they are fairly rare but not that rare.
No-one can say that you don't see goals with Bath City.

Jones definitely man of the match today in another pretty drab game. Certainly can't fault the players efforts since the Chippenham debacle and there were a few signs - mainly in the second half - that it is beginning to come together a bit more.

Re: Concord v City
Yes, Jones did have a good game and looks to be fulfilling his role as captain by getting things at the back organised. But for me the outstanding performer this season has been Batten, whose no nonsense clearances and goal threat from set pieces is almost Sir-Richard-esque. Interesting to hear Case yesterday advising him to take longer run ups to meet Compton's quality corners - could the 50 yarder at Weymouth be beaten this season?

Only 50 yards?

I know the derision I would have prompted if I'd exaggerated...

Great to hear a fitter Darren Jones is beginning to show some form at last..... because his career pedigree is pretty good to be playing at this level and with Jack Batten playing very solidly it does bode well for a good long term partnership after all this season. Fingers crossed!
Likewise, Lucas improving up front and from the TV clip I saw earlier with Jarvis popping up with a cracking headed goal yesterday from another quality left foot cross from Jack Compton, things are starting to look a little bit more encouraging again. Lets just hope Morgan doesn't get injured now as he is so pivotal to the front line functioning properly alongside either of these two.
Lets hope the confidence from all this now counts for something tomorrow at Hungerford and we don't slip back into bad habits again....

Please don't start Comrade off on the Sir Richard Bourne saga again. I tell you it just hit him and went in from 2 yards.
