The three candidates in my opinion!
Clearly they have lost the dressing room but surely Brittan was part of that as well and although I am New to the Forum I have followed Bath since the Bodin / White days. No spirit, desire, Leadership, Motivation NOTHING. Who would I put in Charge? Not Jimbo( great servant, but been part of this abysmal Set up) I would go for 2 or 3 tbh. One would be controversial, one would bring money, and one who has experience at this level, but tends to walk away when not getting hhis way. Not in any order either. NICK BUNYARD. puts in about £400 a week at Frome & Did the same at Paulton. Got Paulton promoted, knows the Players well and maybe able to recruit one or two players that we current gal can't. Would be my choice. DARREN PERRIN. Done well at all Clubs, with No real Budgets, passionate, motivated and very open to fans etc, but did he burn his bridges with us whilst at CHIPPENHAM. Know Porks loved it here when he played for Owers & Rello and perhaps he would liven the ace up. CRAIG LAIRD. Good Football, great job at WSM, done poorly at Yate,, lost players because of finances etc. Also tends to walk away or threaten to resign when not getting his own way. Does have the experience though. The one that I forgot who is doing well but would NOT come back so I'm told is RICKO. He would certainly install passion, discipline and love for the Club. Just my opinions & thoughts.

That's a pity if what you say about Rikko is true. In his previous time as manager I don't think he would have put up with some of the spineless displays we have endured. Not sure about the other three you mention!

Re: The three candidates in my opinion!
Mourinho, Ancelloti and Benitez are all still out of work...
I always thought Laird did excellently at Weston, which is evident by their form in the seasons before and after his tenure. Surprised he wasn't employed further up the ladder than Yate. Ditto Dave Mehew, who I think is still at Mangotsfield?
Another person not mentioned, and would be rather left-field, is Martin Paul. I'm sure he has been doing his coaching badges recently.

Not a single name mentioned would I accept. Bunyard taken over Frome putting his own money in to lift it to a no doubt hefty budget for that league and theyre still not close to safety. Must be better out there

Agreed Jim not a runner. Need a hungry young manager who knows the local scene and sees City as a step forward to higher things.

Re: The three candidates in my opinion!
While we are throwing names around how about Andy Sandell? He dropped out of the league at the end of last season when he was released by Newport, and is currently playing for Chippenham where I think he is also commercial manager. He has scored a lot of goals for them this season, and reports I have read suggest he has been playing well - if we were going down the player/manager line we could do a lot worse.

Re: The three candidates in my opinion!
Interestingly this afternoon our Twitter account was 'followed' by Cardiff City's Under 21s manager, coincidentally named Kevin Nicholson. I'd been saying on Sunday to somebody that I'd like to see a young coach with good qualifications and potential come in and be given time to grow, just looking up this guy and he seems to fit my bill, if he's interested I hope he's on the board's radar. Certainly has pedigree in developing young players, in the process of attaining his UEFA Pro licence and would bring with him the bonus of good contacts higher in the game.
A little more about him on the Cardiff site http://www.cardiffcityfc.co.uk/team/development/
and an interesting article on him http://thesefootballtimes.co/2015/12/22/kevin-nicholson-a-coach-looking-to-the-future/

I would be interested to see Clark and/or Jim until the end of the season or see what Andy Tilson is up to.

Often seen Tilson around the University lately in a Southampton tracksuit so two and two must equal he's working for their academy.

Ah, I wonder if it is full-time. If he is working there, it is actually even more of plus point.

Re: The three candidates in my opinion!
I think the chaces of cardiff under 21 manager leaving to come to us is very slim barinf in mind his current salary is probably about 50k. Somehow i dont think we will compete with that. I noticed LB mentioned Sandell at Chippenham. How about we go one further a take him to play upfront and take Collier aswell?

Re: The three candidates in my opinion!
Although I wouldn't fault their commitment, for me, I'd get rid of the current coaching team (Freegard & Rollo) and bring someone in who is their own man and have the balls to tell the Adie he should be nowhere near the pitch, or bench on match days.

Kevin Nicholson
Re the Cardiff Kevin Nicholson, he has recently prompted much discussion on (managerless) Stockport's forum after signing up for all that club's Twitter feeds. I think one can conclude he is looking for a job at our level, although whether we could meet his salary expectations is another matter entirely.

One other name - former Swindon manager Mark Cooper. He lives locally and has managed at our level (Tamworth).

Re: The three candidates in my opinion!
Steve Evans must be due for the push soon, snap him up. Tbh any manager that gets us winning will get respect, grudging or otherwise, perhaps even adulation from us fickle fans.

Don't know his circumstances but how about taking a punt on a young coach like Marc Canham?

Surely that shouldn't be the manager's job? I am not entirely sure that Howells hasn't taken the blame for both of them.
