Me too!!! I had to stay at home to deal with family matters. I was listening on the radio but switched off after Weston scored as I couldn't take it anymore after Maidenhead.

Re: City v WSM
Unbelievable. I have never seen City Fans soi happy. The WSM players were devastated especially Keary and Wilson. Harvey with the winner from the half way line. Lashed into the net.
We fully deserved the win as we were on top for the whole of the game but didn't have a single shot on goal througout. A couple of poor headers went well wide plus Hemmings headed over from a corner because he forgot to jump again. Weston scored with their only shot.
We played some good football. which is difficult in such important circumstances.

Incredible fightback. I'm sure had Weston not scored it would have ended goalless, but we showed the fight which has been missing so often. I've been critical of Tyler but he showed great composure with the penalty and confidence with the winner. Bas reckoned on Radio Bristol that he was 50 yards out - probably 40, but it was a fantastic effort. Hopefully this will be the start of a winning run which will see us safe. Another tough one on Saturday as Chelmsford had an excellent win over Maidstone today.

apart from a weak effort from Artus and Pratt through on goal and the keeper made a good save?
I've never celebrated like that! Utter madness. Tyler Harvey did nothing all game then pulled off a comeback that Jesus would've been proud of!

Cant believe it......The messiah has risen at Twerton Park. Massive praise for Tyler Harvey for the penalty and the superb second. Balls of steel....I am walking on air. In the words of Sir Alex "Football bloody hell" That is a massive 3 points. WSM fans chanting we are staying up must be gutted. Where were Kelly and Murphy today ?

Re: City v WSM
We had a few shots on goal the best chance going to Dave Pratt who was through one on one with the keeper but shot too close.
The winner was from so far out, inside our half, I couldn't believe WSM keeper wouldn't get to it; but he isn't the tallest, had been a long way off his line a lot of the game, so backpeddling failed to reach the ball as it flew like an Exocet missile (Sir Richard would have been proud of that) over his head ; it had the perfect trajectory, like a banana shape.
During the last five minutes City supporters went from utter devastation to absolute ecstasy, I thought the stand might collapse with almost everyone jumping up. Players and management went wild on the pitch.
Penalty was 93rd minute, winner 94th and full time immediately after that.
The video of the last minutes ought to be broadcast everywhere.

First half our best chance was Simmo's header... second half... I don't think Pratt could score if he was the only player on the pitch and the goals were twice the size..... then the goals!!!! I pity the people who left early complaining

I still can't really believe what I've just seen. Complete despair to wild celebrations in the space of four minutes.
I went down the tunnel to speak to Gary Owers afterwords for Bath City Internet Radio and I can confirm the atmosphere was buzzing in the home dressing room.
Hopefully this will galvanise us to a run that will keep us up.

Re: City v WSM
I thought we were the best side over the whole game, but couldn't see us scoring - Ebbsfleet must have had a shocker on Friday to lose to Weston. Weston's goal did seem inevitable though - if they hadn't scored I reckon it would have ended goalless.
I was concerned when Harvey stepped up to take the penalty but all credit to him for the way he took it. As for the winner, I have a feeling that goal will become the stuff of legend like Sir Richard's at Weymouth!
Vital 3 points and hopefully the start of a run to safety which seemed unlikely after 91 minutes.

Re: City v WSM
Bob Chester had come up a few minutes earlier and asked for how I thought it'd end.
I said we'd lose 1-0 to a last minute goal by someone like Wilson or McClennan, just to rub it in further. I'd also predicted before the game that we'd lose 1-0 to a last minute goal.
There's a chance I'm quite happy to be proved wrong.

There is a god! Couldn't make today as family at home. Listened to last 30 minutes on BCIR and turned off when Weston scored. Spent the last 2 hours poring over a grim future for the club before logging on to the forum.

If there is one thing that today has proved yet again it is that you should never leave a game or turn off the commentary until the final whistle has gone!

Re: City v WSM
We went from still in the mire to relegated to living to fight another day within 5 minutes. There's a part of me that thinks that only a 20 year old could have taken that penalty and that shot because they haven't got the fear everyone else seemed to have. I don't know - I bloody love football.

Re: City v WSM
Man of the Match would have to go to Tyler Harvey as we will all remember that goal for a long time.
Dan Bowman had a good one and his attacking / wing play is a strength...BUT, all the players, when crossing, need to think about the ball on the ground into the six yard area rather than chipping it.

Sensational and ecstatic final five minutes fully vindicating the five hours travelling to and from the game. City played and fought well today against a resolute and committed WSM side in an excellent match....and then that dramatic, unforgettable finale.
